We’re excited to share our latest aerial shot of Kaitiakitanga Charitable Trust’s project, planting native trees around the Tauwhare wetlands. The restoration is an important step in enhancing the local ecosystem and supporting biodiversity in the area.

Murray Grant worked with the owners and Kuaka after seeing the original swamp’s potential. As the Community Contributions partner at Stace Hammond he oversaw all stages of its improvement. Kaitiakitanga Charitable Trust is the entity responsible for it now.

Graham Allerby volunteered regularly for our 2021 trap tuning and Okete planting. Trek and Travel (KCT Supporters) gave us good discounts as we thanked Graham.

Steve loved our Waterboy camp on the Waipa River so much he came out and helped with tree releasing at Okete. Hunting and fishing (KCT Sponsor) hand over our thanks of work clothes so he can carry on.
